A Guy Called Spire is the sixty-third issue of the series.
Plot[]
Samus shoots Kanden in the face, killing him. She and the now un-paralyzed Oveur see that Kanden's body left behind an Octolith, one of the eight they need to find to find the Great Weapon. As they proceed, they find Spire, a rock bounty hunter who says he is the "Last of the Diamonts". Samus and Oveur begin arguing over whether a Diamont is an element from Star Trek or Star Wars, angering Spire, who shoots Samus and sends her flying. She attacks him with a rainstorm of blasts, destroying him. His body leaves behind another Octolith.

- Oveur says that he believes a Diamont is something from Star Trek, while Samus says it is an element from Star Wars.
