The Writer
The Future Writer
Dracog
A Tale of Two Writers is the one hundred thirty-fourth issue of the series.
Plot[]
Samus, Oveur, the Writer, and Dracog arrive at the house of the "cliche old woman". Inside, she tells them the story of the Writer and the Future Writer. The original Future Writer created from the bipolar personality of the author worked together with the Writer occasionaly, using the combined Duo Stone for cooperative deeds such as "ending World War III, overthrowing George Bush, [and] putting male skinny jeans out of style". However, when that Future Writer died, the current one, given superpowers by Cronal, took his place and was antagonistic to the Writer. The Future Writer has been able to survive after several fatal events (electrocution, laser beam, explosion, Ark destruction) for the same reason the Writer was able to survive his own death: "one cannot die while the other survives".
Parodies/References[]
- The title is the second reference to the Charles Dickens story A Tale of Two Cities made in the series.
- The prophecy is very similar to the one made about Harry Potter and Voldemort, continuing the Harry Potter themes throughout this story arc.
