Future Writer is the forty-first issue of the series, and the first issue of season 5.
Plot[]
The mysterious figure is revealed to be a young man with long black hair, similar to the Writer, with a long black robe and evil looking eyes. He calls himself the Future Writer and explains that ten years from now, he used magic to take over the body of the Writer, then decided to make the comic his own way by going back in time to the present issue. The current Writer admits he knew about this, but explains that he had to help release the Future Writer so that he could be destroyed. The Future Writer destroys Kraid's head ("Not again"). Mother Brain orders Ridley to go get the Space Pirates, and King Dracog tells Pickett to summon the Dragon Minions. Pickett gives the Writer his pencil back.
