Opus Dei is the tenth and final issue of The Future Writer Chronicles spinoff.
Plot[]
The Future Writer tries to shoot baby Samus, but her father jumps in the way and is killed instead. The Writer asks her mother if she has the Relics, and she tells him that placing them in a circle that is then broken by the Future Writer will trap him. They place Samus in the center of the circle as bait, and the Future Writer shoots her mother before stepping into the circle, becoming captured. The Relics vanish with the Future Writer. The Writer takes baby Samus to live with the Chozo on Zebes, and the story ends.
Parodies/References[]
- The scene of the Writer taking Samus to the Chozo, silhouetted against the sunset, is a reference to the scene in Star Wars when Obi-Wan takes Luke to live with his aunt and uncle.
Trivia[]
- The Latin title means "Work of God" and is more commonly known as the name of a secretive Catholic society at the center of many conspiracy theories and the focus of the novel the Da Vinci Code.
