The Hunter is Samus's gunship, which she flies in seasons 1-8.
Story[]
It is of a distinct circular design, with a windshield that resembles Samus's visor. It has hull lines above and below the visor and four thrusters underneath the hull. The interior usually contains one or two computers. Samus adores the Hunter and is moritfied when Mother Brain blows it up as Samus is heading for it at the end of season 8. Samus later acquired a sleeker, more pointed ship in the 10th season. Apparently, the Hunter was destroyed prior to the series beginning. Davy Jones remade it, but Samus would be forced to work on his ship in five years. When that five years was up, but Samus refused to follow her end of the deal, the events of T3H Metroid Galaxy 2 occured. Even though Davy Jones was supposedly defeated, he returned in T3H Zelda Galaxy to continue to fight the Writer and others in revenge.
Appearance[]
The appearance of the Hunter is based off of Samus's gunship from Metroid II, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, and Metroid Prime Hunters. In Metroid Prime 3, Samus is shown flying a sleeker ship. Therefore, within the comics, Samus's old gunship was destroyed as a plot device to introduce her new ship from Metroid Prime 3.
Trivia[]
- Within the video games, Samus's gunship is never named, however, in the Prime series, it is called a Hunter-class gunship. This appears to be the basis for its name in T3H Metroid Galaxy.
